Unfortunately there are no clear guidelines on compensation.
The public health department is responsible for the cancellation of an event, according to § 28 of the infection protection law. There is no right to compensation from the state for “voluntary cancellations”. In the case of cancellations by the public health department, it is disputed whether compensation must be paid according to §65. So far there are no official statements on this.
🚑 In the event of a personal quarantine ordered by the public health department, self-employed persons are also compensated in accordance with §56 of the Infection Protection Act. The compensation is based on the profit shown in the tax assessment for the last year. It must always be an official quarantine, so the relevant health authority should be contacted.
